About me
I am currently working outdoors/online or telephone. I have over 25 years experience counselling adults & children, working with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, bereavement, all relationship issues, recovery from trauma, fertility, pregnancy and menopausal issues, living with and beyond cancer or serious illness.
Walk and talk counselling. I live in a quiet rural area not far from Bristol centre or M5 exit 19 Easton in Gordano.
My garden has a separate entrance, is private and a bit away from other houses. There are also fields and woods nearby for walk and talk therapy
At times in life it can help to talk confidentially to a complete outsider who will listen attentively to your point of view. I offer understanding and acceptance, helping you to develop insight and feel at ease within yourself.
Weekly 50 minute sessions are tailored to your individual needs and can be either short or long term depending on the nature of your concerns.
Shorter term work (6-12 weeks) is solution focused, looking at ways to make things better. Longer term work is more effective where problems have been present a long time and are deep seated, and can help you achieve a more sustained improvement in the quality of your life. In the counselling relationship we may look back to your past, but only in order to improve your present and future.
I work in Bristol (Alma Vale Road, Clifton BS8). I also work in a peaceful rural location (Sandy Lane, Lower Failand, North Somerset) which is only, approximately, 15 minutes by car from Bristol city centre or 5 minutes from M5 exit 19 Easton in Gordano services.
I provide flexibility by offering daytime and a limited number of evening appointments.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
