About me

I am a skilled and empathetic therapist with over 17 years of experience supporting individuals across all life stages, including teenagers, adults, seniors, and couples.

With a Human Resources and healthcare background, I bring a unique understanding of individuals' complex emotional and psychological challenges in corporate and clinical environments. I have in-depth experience addressing workplace stress, conflict management, depression, and anxiety, and I am passionate about supporting mental health and well-being.

I am registered with major insurance providers, including AXA, BUPA, AVIVA VITALITY, WPA, and Allianz Worldwide Care, ensuring my services are easily accessible to many clients. My approach combines clinical knowledge with practical insight, offering a compassionate, informed, and solution-focused pathway to resilience and recovery.

I work with a variety of issues, including:

  • anger management
  • relationship difficulties
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bereavement
  • stress
  • addictions
  • self-harm
  • abuse
  • bullying
  • sexuality

I’ve had a varied and rewarding career, working across healthcare services, public sector organisations, and charitable agencies. Today, I run my private practice from West Norwood and Clapham, offering a calm and supportive space for people to explore their emotional wellbeing.

My work is grounded in an Integrative approach, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models depending on what best suits you. I often work Psychodynamically, helping to link past experiences and current challenges. Understanding where we’ve come from is an important step towards making sense of where we are now and creating the changes we want for the future.

Above all, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, deepen your self-awareness, and feel supported in finding your way forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and experienced therapist with a human resources and nursing background, and I am expanding my expertise through a postgraduate programme in Trauma. Over the years, I have developed a compassionate, holistic approach to supporting individuals facing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and life transitions.

My training includes an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB, 2009), Certification in CBT (CPCAB, 2010), Clinical Accreditation in Psychotherapy and Supervision (BACP, 2012), and Clinical Supervisor Certification (BACP, 2015).

I am interested in working with diversity, childhood attachment and loss, body image, identity, and personal growth. I am registered with AXA, BUPA, Aviva, and Vitality, making my services accessible to a wide range of clients.

I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to heal.

In addition to my practice, I am a clinical supervisor for a bereavement agency.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I have been deeply committed to personal and professional growth throughout my journey. This has allowed me to support others with greater understanding, empathy, and care. My experience includes:

  • Working with diversity and difference, honouring each person’s unique story
  • Helping individuals manage and move through stress
  • Supporting those impacted by childhood attachment issues, loss, and child sexual abuse
  • Offering therapeutic space around endings, transitions, and new beginnings
  • Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools in a flexible and supportive way
  • Working alongside people navigating trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression, and stress-related illnesses
  • Exploring challenges related to body image, life transitions, womanhood, identity, self-development, and authentic personal expression
