Poem: 'Gradually' - A Therapy Journey; an encounter in a safe relationship
Written by listed counsellor/psychotherapist: Dawn Purver, Dip. Psychotherapeutic Counselling Reg MBACP (Accred)

Friday after Friday
Me to hear her words
She 'not knowing where to start'
Our relationship formed
Her trust developed
Her secrets shared
Her heart revealed, broken and fragile
We pieced together the fragments
Made meaning of experience
Named the feelings
She felt the pain
Grieved what could never be
She turned her face upwards
Began to hope
Taking small steps
Each moving forward
When we parted
She said 'this was an important journey'
