Supervision details

From my own experience, I know how important it is to work alongside the right Supervisor as this working alliance can impact significantly on your confidence, practice and progression as a Therapist.

My Approach:- I work supportively and reflectively with the aim of helping my Supervisees to explore case material, maintain ethical standards, develop within their work, grow as a professional, reach individual goals and celebrate good practice.

I also believe it is essential to bring to sessions, considerations for the impact that personal life can have upon clinical practice, not simply viewing the case material in isolation, to benefit awareness of self-care needs and work-life balance.

Integrative Working:- As an integrative therapist I draw upon a wide range of techniques and approaches, underpinned by the therapeutic relationship, to offer a tailored service to the individual client.  And just like my therapeutic work, my approach to supervision is integrative too, working with various relational, developmental, coaching and systemic supervision models to inform my practice.

Who I Supervise:- I provide individual and group supervision to Trainee, newly qualified and experienced Counsellors working in a variety of settings with clients of all ages, using a wide range of theoretical modalities.

In addition, I offer non-managerial supervision & support to professionals working in other caring professions, such as Social Services, Human Resources, Rehab Units, Educational Services and Palliative Care Centres. This allows Professionals to reflect upon the emotional challenges of their role, process work undertaken and decisions made, consider learning points about themselves and the work, explore any biases that could impact their actions or relationships and reduce the risk of burnout and/or mental health issues.

Supervising Supervisors:- I also provide supervision to fellow Supervisors (including those in training), working with students and qualified counsellors, individually and in groups.

Scheduling:- I can offer fixed or flexible sessions on a fortnightly or monthly basis.  Sessions are delivered remotely by way of telephone or zoom video call (UK & Worldwide), whichever is preferred or most convenient. I also have some limited face to face session availability in Milton Keynes if required.

Supervision Session Fees:- 1hr=£50,  1.5hr=£70,  2hrs=£90

Booking A Consultation (no cost):- If you would like to discuss the possibility of working together, please make contact and we can arrange a free consultation (please check your spam/junk file for my reply). Thank you for visiting my profile, I hope to hear from you soon.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
