Supervision details

I am Mbacp registered and have been practising as an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals and couples for 12 years. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Supervision from the Grove Practise in London. My way of working is underpinned by a relational psychodynamic,  somatic trauma informed and transactional analysis approach.  I offer supervision to qualified counsellors and to people working in caring or helping professions. I believe the supervisory relationship is as important as the therapeutic relationship. Through the working alliance we will together co-create a safe, developmental, supportive, containing, restorative, appropriately challenging relational space in which any aspect of client, supervisee and supervisor contexts may emerge as focal to the work. Together client progression will be assisted by our attendance to the way in which client need manifests and changes our supervisory relationship.  Both supervisee and supervisor awareness are transformed in this process as I work to facilitate your reflexivity, embodied insight, awareness, skills and internal supervisor development in service of the client’s therapeutic needs. This work in turn will support your personal and professional development and your therapeutic practise.  As part of our initial joint assessment we will decide together if our ways of working will be beneficial for your current personal,  professional and therapeutic development goals. We will then negotiate a working contract in alignment with Bacp ethics and guidelines. This will be reviewed and updated according to your individual needs at least twice yearly.  To explore your needs further or to access further information about the way I work please email me and we can arrange a time to speak.  I am currently working face to face and via zoom. Options for a hybrid service are available.  Face to face supervision is in a designated private therapeutic space in my home office. My supervision fee is 50 pounds per hour.  Private parking is available.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
