Good Clinical Supervision is an essential component of a Counselling and Psychotherapy Service. It encourages a Therapist's positive ethical Practice and ensures Clients seeking assistance benefit from their therapeutic input, gaining the assistance they require. I am a National Counselling Society Senior Accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist, holding a Certificate in Supervision Skills and an NCS Certificate in Supervision.

I have over 20 years as a Practitioner, with over 20 years of experience as a Practitioner. I understand the importance of effective  Supervision / Consultancy for Therapeutic Practitioners. Whilst Studying for my Diploma in Counselling and as an undergraduate in my Social science Degree,  incorporating counselling and Psychology, I Studied  Clinical supervision in Counselling. I am Psychodynamically trained, however, I am integrative and familiar with a variety of counselling approaches, to meet the needs of clients and Supervisees.

My experience as a Practitioner and a Supervisor have given me insight into the complexities of the therapeutic process, enabling other Practitioners to gain insight into how best to assist their clients to develop positive outcomes from their therapy. I work with trainees and experienced therapists. With trainee therapists. I have assisted in their development into safe, ethical, effective  Counsellor Practitioners,  and encouraged established therapists in their Professional development and  Practice management. I am familiar with the requirements of Counselling Training courses, and developmental needs of experienced Practitioners.

My career has involved in the training of Couple counsellors and with "Victim Support " Visitors and  Staff. I have facilitated Peer supervision Groups with NHS Therapists, and those in Private Practice. I also offer consultative support to Professionals in Stressful occupations such as the Emergency Services, NHS Staff, Education, Caring organisations  and Human Resource Departments. I have developed a specialism in the Treatment of Sex Addiction, work with  Qualified  Supervisees, also Supervisees in Training to work with clients who present with difficulties concerning Sex addiction, also others whom may have strayed into illegal territory on the internet. I regularly attend Professional Development courses and workshops, some of which are related to Supervision, and Consultative support, to ensure My Therapy Practice maintains a high standard for the Services I provide. I network with other therapists and organizations for the purposes of gaining information, if needed that may be of benefit to Supervisees and clients. I enjoy my work as a  clinical Supervisor and Therapist. and find satisfaction in seeing my clients grow and through Clinical Supervisees, develop their skills, and knowledge to become effective,  competent, Professional Therapists.
