Introduction to eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)

An overview of key principles of EMDR including:

• Origins of EMDR development and approach
• Adaptive information processing model (AIP)
• Aims of EMDR
• Explanation of 8 stage process incorporating 3 elements of past, present and future

Demonstration of principal bi-lateral Stimulation technique (eye movements)

Review of some typical case studies

Time for Q&A

About Kim: I graduated with MA in 2004 and developed a private practice, including my own EAP for staff at Bilborough 6th Form College. I then completed the diploma in supervision course at Sherwood, and expanded my clinical practice to offer supervision. In 2012 I started my EMDR training, I'm now an accredited practitioner
