About me

Hello, my name is Janine Piccirella. I am a qualified Psychotherapist, Supervisor & Trainer with UKCP Registaration & BACP Accreditation and a qualified EMDR Therapist. I am a HIPC - Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College Member.

I work Nottingham City Centre, NG1 5DT.  I offer confidential counselling for individuals, couples and groups.

I offer short, medium and long term therapy dependant on the needs of the individual.

I work with people who are experiencing difficulties with the following:-

The costs for each psychotherapy appointment is:-

Individual Psychotherapy

£65.00 Initial consultation appointment (1 hour)

£60.00 per appointment (1 hour)


EMDR Psychotherapy

£75.00 Initial consultation appointment (1 hour)

£70.00 per appointment (1 hour)


Weekly Group Psychotherapy

(from) £25.00 per group meeting per person (2.5 hours)

The costs for each clinical supervision appointment is:-

Individual Clinial Supervision

£50.00 Individual clinical supervision (1 hour)

Group Clinical Supervision

£50.00 per person in a group of three people (3 hours)


Why Contact Janine?

Integrity and a willingness to be honest and real with my clients are my main values as a therapist. These values help me to be genuine whilst being respectful and facilitating clients towards their therapy goal(s).

These values shape my style as a therapist, I believe that everyone as the right to expect open, honest and genuine dialogue that encourages recognition of different thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I respect individual uniqueness, whilst encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their own care, learning and development within a safe, boundaried and structured environment.

My focus is on the emotional health and well-being of each of the people work with and their sense of being OK within the session. With this I provide an impartial, non-judgmental and supportive environment in which I encourage individuals to grow through attaining greater individual independence, intimacy and spontaneity.

I offer a brief telephone consultation for us to talk about what you are bringing to therapy and to possibly arrange an appointment to meet face to face for an hour long consultation.

I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist at Masters Degree level and also offer Clinical Supervision & Training. I am UKCP Registered and MBACP Accredited. I hold EMDR Pracitioner level qualification too.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
