The true value of forgiveness is restoring meaning and wholeness to the personality after traumatic events or loss.

Throughout my life I have come to learn that one of the most valuable practices and gifts in life is the act of 'forgiveness'. Whether you are in need of being forgiven, need to forgive someone, or most importantly to forgive yourself, exploration of this theme can bring wholeness to the personality structure, and can lead to beneficial results within ourselves and our relationships.

A life of regret, in my counselling experience and from listening to many personal accounts, can be catastrophic, and can feed an endless cycle of trauma. The impact and results can be very surprising when we cultivate and connect with a forgiving quality of mind.  Recognising that at times in our lives we hold resentment and cannot forgive, is also part of this process. We also need to recognise that forgiveness is not necessarily the end of the process, and that a certain amount of 'aftercare' may be required.

This workshop is open to counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as the general public. We hope you can join us for what should be a very rewarding event. The day will also include psychological and clinical research on forgiveness, case studies, forgiveness guided meditation (fog), experiential work and discussion. We will also explore how forgiveness can have its own lifespan, cut up, measured and delivered to different areas of our lives with different effects.

The true impact of our ability to forgive is to create a pillar in our lives, and the value is immeasurable. In our clinical practice this is a unique and revolutionary approach which should enhance how we work. We will be exploring a new system and model of client work (fog) based on the 'bereavement' model.

Benefits of the course:

1. Learn a new tool and perspective for client work.

2. Learn a new mindfulness technique: 'Forgiveness' meditation (fog).

3. Forgiveness can be one of the most liberating qualities of mind that you can work through for yourself and others.

4. Earn 6 hours of CPD.
