Supervision details

Centred around Client wellbeing, I love supervision that can be the collaborative and creative work between Counsellor and Supervisor, exploring and expanding the therapeutic craft.

Together, our aim is to support key elements of your professional experience: Therapeutic Craft*, Practice Administration* and Personal Growth*.

And together, our process involves exploring What* arises from sessions with our clients, Why* we approach those things in the ways we do, and How* we can make those approaches most effectively.

We can connect on-video and on-phone.

Practicing across various counselling settings since 2002, I embrace a range of therapeutic approaches. I would be seen as an integrative supervisor, integrating multiple therapeutic models and approaches. So, we have many ways to make better sense of life situations: 12-Step Recovery Programme, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic, Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches; Integrative Counselling.

Together, we develop a tailored approach to supervision; collaboratively, flexibly and with our focus on solutions that can bring about better outcomes in our practice.

And I’ve found that our professional and personal growth can thrive even further, with ongoing supportive structures to guide and inspire us. So, included in the supervision, I also have an on-line programme of wellbeing that you can refer to and return to anytime. It’s called ‘The Bulb Booth’.

‘The Bulb Booth’ offers self-learning practice with insights into a range of proven life approaches from therapeutic, spiritual, and science-based origins. With an additional and growing library of blogs and guiding movies, every element inside The Booth takes just a minute to absorb.

Simply get in touch. We can then start looking at how we can best work together.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
