Supervision details

Currently, I am open to taking on new supervisees during weekdays, within standard working hours. The schedule for these sessions is flexible, ranging from weekly to monthly meetings, tailored to fit your individual needs.

My approach to supervision is fundamentally compassionate, aiming to tailor my methods to meet the unique developmental requirements of each supervisee. The cornerstone of my supervisory practice is building a cooperative relationship, ensuring a nurturing and secure setting for all.

I am open to structuring supervision around specific models if this serves your needs, or we can take a more open and relaxed approach if this is your preference. I encourage a proactive dialogue about contracting, the exploration of social GGRRAAACCEEESSS, power dynamics, and fostering a space conducive to mutual feedback.

Areas of Specialisation

In my clinical practice, I integrate theories and techniques from various therapeutic modalities, including Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (including TF-CBT and CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Family-Based Treatment, and Person-Centred Counselling/Motivational Interviewing.

I specialise in supervising treatment for a range of issues, including but not limited to Eating Disorders (such as Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, and Anorexia), Depression, Anxiety, challenges with Self-Esteem and Confidence, Stress Management, and Perfectionism.

My professional background includes working with adolescents and adults in various settings, both in the community and inpatient environments, within the NHS and privately. This includes adapting therapeutic approaches to individuals on the autism spectrum.

While my experience encompasses supervising trainee psychologists, assistant psychologists, support workers, and CAMHS practitioners extensively, my direct one-on-one clinical supervision of qualified Clinical Psychologists has been more limited. This limitation stems from my full-time commitment to the NHS since obtaining my qualifications, where the structure of the teams offered fewer chances to supervise other qualified psychologists directly. In December 2023, I transitioned from my NHS role (8a) to dedicate myself entirely to my private practice. With this shift, I aim to expand my practice in supervisory roles. As a result, I've set the fee for both online and in-person supervision sessions at £80 per hour.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
