Supervision details
I have been trained in providing supervision through the University of Liverpool as well as completing the BPS supervision skills training course. I have experience providing supervision within the NHS and private services.
My approach to supervision is very much focused around you as a learner. I enjoy creating a safe space for you to be curious and to learn at a pace which feels right for you. I feel an important part of supervision is about supporting you to develop your professional identity and to understand your developing role as a psychologist which is not just about the work you complete within the therapy space with clients.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
