Supervision details

I am trained in different models of supervision within my doctoral training and have more than 3 years of experience of supervising clinical and counselling psychologist trainees, Clinical associate psychologist. I have experience of running reflective and peer supervision groups.

I have completed  Salomon's 2 day induction workshop for supervisors. I regularly attend various CPD's to enhance my supervision and clinical skills.

I have experience of working in the mental health setting for over eight years within primary and secondary care settings within NHS and third sector charities such as Rape and Sexual abuse support centre (RASASC), Place2Be and Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN). During this time, I have trained in a range of approaches working holistically with individuals and groups to inform, support and transform the physical and psychological effects of Trauma, PTSD, and related comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, flashbacks, nightmares, relational or family issues, attachment problems, mood or emotional difficulties and somatic symptomology. In addition to my private practice, I also work as a Specialist Counselling Psychologist in one of the secondary mental health settings within NHS.

As a Trauma informed therapist, I have had an extensive training and experience of working with a wide range of trauma survivors, including survivors of childhood sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault, developmental trauma (childhood emotional neglect or abuse) and domestic violence.

I work in a way which is influenced by a Humanistic and positive psychology approach. In the initial session, we can establish the structure of our supervision sessions based on your course requirements and your personal preferences.

I am trained in various evidence-based approaches which I regularly apply to my clinical work based on service user's needs. They include:

·       Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

·       Compassion-focused therapy (CFT)

·       Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

·       Trauma-focused CBT

·       Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)

·       Psychodynamic framework

·       Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT),

·       Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT)

·       Structured Clinical Management Protocol (SCM)

Kindly contact me for more details.
