Supervision details
In both my NHS and private supervision work I supervise CAT therapists, clinical and counselling psychologists, psychodynamic therapists, psychiatrists, social workers and coaches.
WHAT SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE DO I HAVE ?
I have supervised numerous clinical and non-clinical colleagues for over 10 years using individual and group based supervision models. I am trained in both clinical and coaching supervision and have honed and adapted by supervision style to provide a supportive, reflective learning experience that benefits those accessing it. I also have a special interest in using the CAT supervision framework to support charity sector organisations who provide art/music based interventions for people with mental health problems. I believe that by providing a safe, reflective, confidential and open space for people, they can get a better understanding of their work with people, their own clinical self and improve the care they provide to their clients.
WHAT SUPERVISION QUALIFICATIONS DO I HAVE ?
I am a qualified and accredited CAT supervisor and a coaching supervisor having trained with the ICF accredited Barefoot coaching course. I am also a senior CAT supervisor which means I can supervise people who are undertaking that supervisor training.
HOW LONG OUR SUPERVISION SESSIONS?
Individual supervision (60 mins) and group supervision (1 hour 30 mins) and can provided on a weekly or monthly basis.
HOW MUCH DOES SUPERVISION COST ?
Individual supervision is £100 per hour on a monthly basis. Weekly individual supervision is charged at a discounted rate of £80 per hour.
Group supervision is £150 per 1 hour 30 mins session on a monthly basis. Weekly group supervision is charged at a discounted rate of £120 per session.
I also offer supervision packages at a day rate if you are wanting me to provide clinical or coaching supervision to a number of people on a regular basis.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) is a registered charity. They welcome members of the public, health professionals, ACAT accredited professionals, and anyone interested in finding out more about CAT. They list CAT practitioners.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
