Supervision details
I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience of working within a range of psychological services within the NHS and private sector. I have worked across both mental and physical health settings and I am experienced in working with a range of psychological difficulties such as depression, trauma, low self-esteem and anxiety. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are struggling with long term physical health conditions, as well as issues relating to pregnancy and the postpartum period. I consider my approach to be compassionate, non-judgmental and collaborative in my work and apply this both with clients and in supervision. In my clinical work I draw upon a number of therapeutic models, in particular Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am currently training and working towards accreditation as an EMDR therapist.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
