Supervision details
I am a Clinical Supervisor, here to empower your professional development in your practice.
I’ve been counselling for 9years working with Adults and Young People- experiences working for small businesses to large corporations, privately owned businesses, charities, EAP companies and self-employment.
For two years, I worked for a crisis organisation, managing risk and working with complex needs. I am competent working with risk and supporting you with any concerns.
Since 2020, I have built and continued my Private Practice, became accredited with the BACP and trained to become a Supervisor in the Seven Eyed Model.
My modality is Person Centered, however I have experience supervising other modalities and prefer to take an holistic approach- exploring how you’re working with your clients, any personal impacts working with particular clients, the therapeutic and supervisory relationship- rather than a theoretical approach. I won’t tell you how to work, as you’re your own expert and I believe therapists should be empowered, to find their own style and pathway. I offer constructive challenge, guidance with queries, expanding on knowledge, whilst honoring accountability.
Supervision is a safe place, to talk through any concerns, encouraging reflection, constructive challenge to gain further awareness, to promote ethical practice. I am open to hear how you would like to be supervised, consider previous experience and to support you with your practice. As a Clinical Supervisor, I feel the supervisory relationship is a significant part of the process, I am keen to understand you as a person and therapist.
I offer face to face, virtual and telephone supervision for 1 hour or 1.5 hour. Please reach out and contact the details below regarding supervision, availability and fees (student fees are offered).
Please make contact via email (blossomtreetherapy@hotmail.com) telephone (07802237686) or website (https://blossom-tree-therapy.com). I offer brief calls to see if I am a good fit for you.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
