Supervision details
I offer one-to-one clinical supervision, either online or in person, based in Heslington, York. I bring over 12 years’ experience as a practising counsellor in private practice, alongside work across a range of other settings, supporting diverse clients and presentations.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, reflective, and relational. I aim to offer a supportive and containing space where supervisees can explore their clinical work, professional identity, ethical considerations, and the emotional impact of practice. I offer a free introductory session to give us both the opportunity to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
My core training is humanistic, and I now work integratively, tailoring supervision to the needs of the practitioner, their client group, and their way of working. I have experience supervising counsellors at different stages of their professional journey, including those in training as a placement provider, as well as qualified practitioners working with adults, adolescents, and a wide range of presenting issues.
Alongside my broad clinical experience, I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD, and have significant experience working therapeutically with neurodivergent clients. This informs my supervisory work, particularly around adapting practice, reflective awareness, and understanding difference without pathologising.
I have also completed a Doctorate in Education, with a focus on adolescent mental health, which contributes to my understanding of developmental, systemic, and contextual influences on mental health, while sitting alongside my wider supervisory practice.
I have limited availability for supervision and welcome enquiries to discuss current spaces or any questions you may have.
