I am a BPS RAPPS Registered Supervisor, an SDS Accredited Clinical Supervisor, Level 3 (Advanced) and a QCoP Approved Co-ordinating Supervisor.

I have completed eleven supervision training courses in addition to that of my clinical training, over the years. (see: for further details). As Placement Co-ordinator at the University of Wolverhampton, I managed the supervisory assessment of the counselling psychologist trainees during their doctoral training. This involved placement visits, dealing with issues on placement as well as mid-term and end of term assessments of the supervisee’s progress and effective use of supervision.

Although I completed training for the Qualification in Counselling Psychology in 2012, I have remained up-to-date by completing the BPS approved training for clinical supervision in 2021 as well as successfully completing the updated QCoP training (new modules 1 and 2) in 2021 to support candidates interested in completing the BPS QCoP Independent Route.  I also went onto complete assessed Advanced Clinical Supervision training in the same year to Level 3.

In clinical practice at various settings, I have supervised counsellors, assistant psychologists, psychologists in training, qualified counselling and clinical psychologists.  I have delivered individual and group supervision to Nurses, Support workers and Prison Officers.  I have consulted in the care and support of staff by managers and provide external supervisor to Counselling Psychologists in Training at local universities.
