Credentials
I have completed seven supervision training courses in addition to that of my clinical training, over the years. As Placement Co-ordinator at the University of Wolverhampton, I managed the supervisory assessment of the counselling psychologist trainees during their doctoral training. This involved placement visits, dealing with issues on placement as well as mid-term and end of term assessments of the supervisee’s progress and effective use of supervision.
In clinical practice at various settings, I have supervised counsellors, assistant psychologists, psychologists in training, qualified counselling and clinical psychologists. I have delivered individual and group supervision to Nurses, Support workers and Prison Officers. I have consulted in the care and support of staff by managers. I have completed the BPS approved training for clinical supervision, and am eligible to join The Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors – RAPPS.
