Supervision details
I hold a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I am registered in the BPS’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS). I have over 15 years of experience supervising qualified and trainee counselling psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors. I consider that the key aim of my role as supervisor is to facilitate the continuous professional development of my supervisees and to support them in reflecting and evaluating their own clinical work.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
