I have worked as a supervisor since 1998 offering both individual and group supervision to counsellors working in different modalities, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and CBT.

My Certificate in Person-Centred Supervision is from the University of Newcastle and the training was offered by Jenny Biancardi, a Person-Centred Psychodrama Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor.   The emphasis in the training was on working creatively to enable the counsellor to be aware in their work with their clients of what is happening for them and to create a safe space for the counsellor to work through issues that have arisen for them as a result of their engaging with their clients and what the clients bring to therapy.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
