Supervision details
If you’re a trainee or newly qualified counsellor, you’ll know how important it is to find a supervisor who truly understands what those first few months (and years) of being a therapist involve.
From moments of feeling de-skilled to the growing confidence that comes with experience, having someone walk alongside you during this time can be both grounding and affirming.
Supervision offers a space to bring everything into the open; the celebrations of what went well and the honest reflection on what might have been done differently.
At its best, supervision helps us grow as practitioners and creates more room for us to do our work with presence and compassion.
About me
I am a BACP-accredited integrative counsellor with 18 years of experience, working from a developmental model of therapy.
My background draws on Transactional Analysis, Person-Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic and Relational approaches, alongside creative methods such as guided imagery, art, and immersive technologies.
I specialise in supporting Neurodivergent and anxious young people and adults, as well as their families, and I am an LGBTQ+ ally committed to inclusive and affirming practice.
How I like to work
I see supervision as a collaborative, reflective, and creative process. I use a framework that pays attention to:
- Your relationship with your client
- Our supervisory relationship
- The wider context in which you practise
Together, we can explore not only what happens in the therapy room, but also the systems and settings that shape the work we do.
From trying out new approaches to honing in on existing skills, from processing something that happened in a session, to sharing best practice and knowledge, I believe good supervision needs to be underpinned by a strong working relationship, which then makes it possible to go deeply into the beautiful work that counselling can be.
When can I book?
Sessions are held online or in-person, and I currently have daytime spaces on Wednesday and Thursday.
Reduced fee of £40 per hour for trainees.
£80 per hour full price.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
