About me
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, struggling and stuck?
Has anxiety, low self-esteem or low mood taken the joy out of your day-to-day life, impacting your ability to attend school, college, University or work?
Is it hard to talk with your friends or loved ones whilst experiencing uncomfortable symptoms that feel hard to explain?
Have you spent hours searching online for quick fixes and solutions to find support only to end up feeling like a failure because nothing seems to stick?
I get it.
I have specialised in working with anxiety, anxiety disorders, low mood and self-esteem issues in teenagers (and adults) for eighteen years as a counsellor, youth worker, therapy group lead and mental health trainer.
I have personal knowledge of how anxiety can show up and impact living life to the fullest.
I have been privileged to work alongside thousands of people to support them in making sense of their experiences.
How I work
I use different therapeutic approaches depending on the stage of life or the event(s) that activated the issues. The therapy I offer is tailored to suit your specific requirements.
If you are looking for a space for them to work things through, develop personalised strategies and process what might be happening, then counselling can provide a space to make that possible.
At the heart of my work is a belief that we all have the capacity to reach our full potential with the right support.
I am a neurodivergent and neuro-affirming therapist and LGBTQ+ ally.
Length of therapy
I offer short-term solution-focused therapy as well as long-term open-ended counselling and this can be discussed and then reviewed throughout our work together.
Who I work with
I work with individuals aged 13 and up in person and online.
I am a registered counsellor for The Terrence Higgins Trust and Stonewall.
My background
I began my counselling career at Childline in 2007. Since then I have been fortunate to work with several high-profile organisations including Mind, Anxiety UK, The YMCA and The Terrence Higgins Trust.
I have also run counselling services for schools and Sixth Form colleges.
Amongst other approaches, I also use immersive technologies like avatar therapy and augmented reality to help young people who may wish to try something different to traditional talking therapy.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Book now
I offer a free 30-minute virtual consultation before all bookings to ensure that I'm the best person to help.
N.B **If you are seeking support for your child then meeting parents and carers first helps me build a picture of what might be happening; we then book an appointment with your teenager so they can decide if we are a good fit.**

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
