About me
If you’re neurodivergent (or suspect that you might be) and feel that anxiety is draining the joy out of everyday life, then finding a therapist who genuinely understands can feel like an exhausting task
Maybe you have already tried counselling before or spent hours online searching for quick fixes and solutions, only to end up feeling like a failure and walking away because nothing seemed to work.
Anxiety can often show up as a response to the situations, environments and systems we exist in, and it can impact living life to the fullest.
Whether you are struggling with education, work or relationships, counselling can help make sense of the patterns we find ourselves in and help break out of them.
How I work
As an Autistic person I believe that therapy needs to be done differently to support anxious and neurodivergent people. Because of this, I use a range of approaches that have been developed in partnership with anxious and neurodivergent people.
These approaches include:
- Guided imagery and creative approaches like writing, drawing or making that don't always require words or explanations
- Talking therapy that is structured to meet your needs, including no expectations for eye contact and a sensory and environmental checklist to make the sessions feel as comfortable as possible
- All of my work is neuro-affirming
- I am an LGBTQ+ ally
If you are looking for a space to work things through, develop personalised strategies and process what might be happening, then counselling can provide the space to make that possible.
At the heart of my work is a belief that we all have the capacity to reach our full potential.
Who I work with
I work with individuals aged 14 and above in person and online.
My background
I began my counselling career at Childline in 2007. Since then, I have worked with several high-profile organisations, including Mind, Anxiety UK, The YMCA and The Terrence Higgins Trust.
Alongside my 1-1 work, I run therapeutic groups for anxious and neurodivergent young people experiencing barriers to education and employment. I work in partnership with Llamau, Platfform and Cardiff Youth Service.
I have run counselling services for schools and Sixth Form colleges, deliver training across the world, run free parent and carer support groups and run therapeutic groups for young people experiencing barriers to education and work.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
