Lorna McKenzie

MA, MBACP (Accredited) UKRCP Reg. Ind. Counsellor/Psychotherapist

As a Counsellor I know how much I value the time I spend with my own supervisor.  I value the supervisors I have had who have a wide experience in counselling themselves, from whom I can learn, who are sensitive to my concerns and are supportive.  I also like to be challenged and view my practise from a different perspective.  As a supervisor myself I aim to replicate my own experience of supervision and hopefully ensure a positive, learning experience for my supervisees.
I qualified as a counselling supervisor in 2006 and I think the supervision I offer reflects the eclectic way in which I work.  I trained as a Person Centred counsellor and since that time have gained qualifications in Bereavement, EFT and CBT as well as having experience in a number of other modalities.  I try to be flexible in my approach and I get much pleasure from working in partnership with my supervisees.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
