Supervision details

My mode of supervision is the necessity to foster the relationship between supervisor and supervisee, whereby both parties are fully able to bring themselves.  I am a qualified and experienced supervisor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Supervision. I offer unconditional positive regard, congruence and empathy to all supervisees.  I bring myself fully to the relationship and encourage authenticity in others.  I also integrate my experience as a counsellor as well as my previous work history into my role as a supervisor.

As Ormand says "Supervision needs to provide a model of the setting which supervisees need to create for their clients (2011).  My role as the supervisor is to model good practice and demonstrate the working application of the ethical framework as well as to create a safe space for the supervisee where they can honestly and openly discuss and reflect on their work with clients. I offer supervision to both qualified and trainee counsellors and supervisors from a range of therapeutic backgrounds.

Testomonies

"As a supervisor Chloe makes me feel supported, listened to and importantly understood. Chloe manages to get in touch with my emotional responses to my work and helps me to unravel my complicated feelings, as well as those of my client, supporting me tremendously.  I learn from Chloe, not just from her input about my work but her input about the other supervisees work too.  I feel Chloe processes and approaches the work in a way that is very innate and natural and suits my way of working and being." (Place2Be Psychodynamic Counsellor)

I've been supervised by Chloe through a national charity and in my private practice. During that time she has remained professional, offering the core conditions and meeting me with warmth and understanding.  Chloe works from a person centred perspective, allowing me to explore how I can work with my clients in the best possible way.  I have found the supervision challenges me and helps me to consider and ethical factors or dilemmas that may need to be considered. Chloe offers me the depths of relationship that I want to find in supervision.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.” (Person Centred Counsellor)

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
