About me
Why me?
I work with adults only and specialise in helping people with anxiety, low self-esteem and relationships issues. I often find that these go hand in hand and that there are usually underlying issues such as stress, depression, grief or childhood trauma. I am also passionate about supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples.
You are an individual with unique experiences and issues; therefore, your counselling will be tailored to you, assisting you in exploring and understanding your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I will help you find new ways to solve problems, grow in confidence and develop more meaningful relationships with yourself and others.
I work with adults only; individuals, couples and families. I work both online and in-person. I offer both short term solution focused therapy, using CBT and other tools and longer-term more person-centred therapy. I have a vast array of tools and techniques for all manner of issues that have proven to be incredibly beneficial in repairing and healing the lives of those I have worked with.
My specialist areas
- Individuals navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, identity, sexuality and life transitions.
- Neurodivergent individuals including those with ADHD and ASD, seeking support with identity, emotional regulation, anxiety, low-self-esteem, relationship issues and navigating everyday challenges.
- LGBTQ+ individuals navigating identity, relationships and life transitions, with a sensitive and affirming approach that honours your lived experience and unique journey.
- Couples (and families) seeking to improve communication, deal with conflict in a healthy way, rebuild trust, or deepen emotional intimacy.
At its heart, therapy is about forming a relationship, working with a person you can both trust and build a rapport which is vital. I would also say it is probably the most important element of successful therapy, so I offer a complimentary 15/20 minute telephone/online introduction to explore your needs and for you to be sure you feel comfortable talking to me.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
