About me
No matter the issue you are struggling with, be it anxiety, depression or low self-esteem, I can help you. Whatever it is you are experiencing, reach out; things can get better.
I have been working as body therapist for over 20 years, and the experience of working both physically and energetically greatly complements what I have to offer as a counsellor. I go beyond paying attention to your words; I listen to your body, your breath, how you speak and how you are in silence. In this way I can identify the best way to support your therapeutic process.
I draw from a variety of methods, both somatic and psychologic, which enable me to give an individual approach to each client. I trained as a psychosynthesis psychotherapeutic counsellor, which is an integrative type of psychotherapy. It brings together different therapies, such as:
- Jungian
- Transpersonal
- Gestalt
- Biodynamic
My work is about bringing awareness to the unconscious forces that rule your life. Once the unravelling of the unconscious process is ignited, there is an opportunity for a more authentic part of yourself to emerge; in other words, you start to outgrow your experience or issue. Ultimately you are able to take a bird's eye view of your situation, and dis-identify from a way of being which no longer fits.
I am warm, approachable and gentle. However I will challenge you in a compassionate way if I feel it will contribute to your growth. I aim to help you get more clarity on the issue(s) you bring to therapy.
Ways I might work with you

Training, qualifications & experience
About Me I am an experienced counsellor who has trained at PGDip degree (level 7) at the Psychosynthesis Trust, which is a comprehensive training credited by Middlesex University. I have been working for 20 years as a body therapist, mainly using Shiatsu and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, and most recently I have developed a body psychotherapy approach called Psychotherapeutic Bodywork. I have also trained as a coach/facilitator on the subject of women’s sexuality ( Somatic/ spiritual and psychotherapeutic process work based) and have run workshops in the UK and abroad. I am originally from Brazil where I studied drama and dance. My experience of living in different cultures has helped me towards a greater sensitivity and understanding of people living in a culture that has a different world view than theirs, and the consequences of it.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
