Training in lifespan integration therapy. Levels 1 & 2 Manchester spring 2018.
Lifespan Integration UK are delivering a training session in Manchester in April and
May 2018, which may be of interest to you and your colleagues. If you work with clients with trauma, you may find using Lifespan Integration therapy beneficial.
Lifespan Integration is a body/mind psychotherapy that facilitates the healing and integration of past traumas - replacing old negative cognitions through the repeated use of a timeline of memory cues, active imagination; working in the body and the mind.
Training in this modality will add an invaluable method to your therapeutic 'toolkit' enabling you to clear disabling traumas in a fast and effective manner. Client's and LI therapists report they love using Lifespan Integration due to how swiftly it works, it's creative and imaginal component and its capacity to help people feel more whole and integrated.
Read what Sue Hawkins, HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist has to say about LI…
“Lifespan Integration Therapy has been the most valuable training that I
have done in my 22 years of working as a psychologist and psychotherapist.
I now use it with the majority of my clients. It is so effective because it works
on deep sub-cortical structures in the brain and therefore promotes more
rapid and permanent healing than talking therapy alone. It also heals
without re-traumatising and can treat pre-verbal traumas, such as birth or
early attachment trauma. I have found it especially helpful in my work with
adopted and looked after children, as well as adults and adolescents with
PTSD, borderline personality disorder, depression, self-harm and anxiety
disorders. I would highly advise any therapist to add L.I. to their toolkit!”
Sarah wrote about her experience of having Lifespan Integration
“Prior to having LI, my life was shaped by reacting to, coping with, numbing
or avoiding powerful emotional pain which left me feeling hopeless at times.
I thought that was ‘normal’. Previous counselling achieved small shifts but
nothing like the transformation that having LI has brought about. Now I can
feel joy, I am peaceful, and wake up without a sense of dread. My thoughts
are quiet and I can engage with life, people and events here and now instead
of enduring a constant re-run of the past and its pain. Most of all, I am learning
to trust, allow people near and make friendships. Something I have longed for
and am now starting to achieve.”
Who can LI help?

• DID and DIDNOS
