Mindfulness meditation in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales
6th and 7th June 2015 and 4th and 5th July 2015
A mindfulness meditation course, over two weekends, based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and Mark Williams.
The aim of the course is to teach both novice and experienced meditators alike the simple but powerful practice of mindfulness meditation and unconditional presence form a primarily secular perspective.
Body, breathing and movement meditation are all explored so that participants can develop or enhance their own practice of meditation and incorporate the benefits of mindfulness and presence into their daily lives.
Classes are open to all.
For counselors, psychotherapists and energy workers, mindfulness practice can deepen and broaden your ability to engage and be more present with your clients. The course is structured along the lines of the eight week mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) training and CPD certificates awarded after the full 20 hours attendance over the two weekends.
For everyone who attends and succeeds in developing a regular and consistent practice, the rewards are:
- A sense of calm and steadiness in everyday life.
- Improved concentration and focus.
- Better able to manage stress.
- A new relationship with emotions.
- An improved relationship with self and others.
Classes will consist of eight modules to mimic the eight week MBCT course. Each weekend will be divided into four modules and each module will be 2.5 hours providing 20 hours of classroom learning and practice.
Participants will be required to commit to both weekends.
The cost of the course is £350 for all eight modules over two weekends.
Dates: 6th and 7th June 2014 & 4th and 5th July 2015.
