Mindfulness & compassion beginners weekend retreat
Mindfulness & compassion beginners weekend retreat
What is a retreat?
A retreat is an opportunity to take a step back from our usual daily life, with all the responsibilities and busyness that it can bring, and to develop our mindfulness practice within the support of a group of fellow practitioners. Many people say that a retreat can be a restful, energising and illuminating experience. Crucially they can provide a deeper, fuller experience of mindfulness that we can then bring back with us to our daily lives.
What will happen on this retreat?
The retreat schedule involves formal sessions of meditation and discussion, as well as practising bringing the qualities of awareness and compassion that we develop during the formal sessions into our other activities, whether that be eating, walking, or simply resting. There will be some periods of silence to help support our practice.
Who is this retreat for?
This secular mindfulness retreat is suitable for those completely new to mindfulness and meditation, for those wishing to refresh or reignite their practice, or for anyone who would like to experience everything a retreat has to offer.
