This five-week course will be offering an introduction to understanding the work and significance of Sigmund Freud. Key Freudian concepts such as the structure of the mind, dream analysis, psychosexual stages, Oedipus, transference, defence mechanisms and drive theory will be explored - through theoretical developments, Freud's patient work and modern interpretations - and participants will be encouraged to think about how these theories and concepts may apply to their own lives.

Each evening will contain a mixture of lectures, group discussion, experiential exercises, and case studies.
