Introduction to focusing
Focusing is a gentle way of paying ourselves attention and deepening self-awareness.
It trusts that our body knows and can tell us what we need for physical and emotional health.
Focusing enhances self-exploration and becoming a more empathic and accepting listener.
It supports greater inner stability and this allows us to work safely with difficult emotions, both our own and those of clients and supervisees.
Throughout the training, there are opportunities to share in the group and to work with your own process. There will be focusing demonstrations and participants will have opportunities to practice focusing and being companions for each other.
Focusing is very natural and gentle, and at the same time you might find that working at this level is powerful and revealing.
We provide refreshments and folders with reading materials and exercises.
There is a certificate of attendance (12 hours) after completing the introductory workshop.
After completing the introduction to focusing, you can continue with the British Focusing Association Certificate in Focusing Skills, levels two-five.
