About this event

Please note that this event will be available both face-to-face and online in Glasgow, Scotland.

Do you know that you carry one of the most profound sources of healing right under your nose? Your own breath.

Breathwork is one of the fastest-growing practices for healing and personal growth we have right now. We are also experiencing a rapidly growing shift in our understanding of trauma and its impact on us individually and collectively. We now know that going beyond the rational thinking mind and working directly with the body and somatic experience is one of the most effective routes for helping to resolve trauma.

This is where breathwork can really help.

In this experiential training for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, you’ll discover how the breath can be used to bring about states of deep relaxation, release tension from the body, resolve trauma and help clients feel more connected to who they are.

This training will give you an understanding of the importance of breath for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and how it can be used to complement your existing practice.

What you will learn in this training:

  • understand the evolution of conscious connected breathwork as a healing modality
  • understand when to suggest breathwork and what it can be used for
  • understand the nature of trauma and how it relates to the breath
  • using the breath to get centred, grounded and relaxed
  • how to heal trauma through breath and body awareness
  • get experience of a breath practice you can introduce to clients
  • using the breath to access powerful healing states that are ‘beyond words’
  • experience your own powerful breathwork session

What to bring:

Have somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down with a pillow and blankets so you can really relax and enjoy the breathwork session. Headphones can also enhance the experience if you have them, but are not essential.
