Healing trauma with the breath

Breathwork is one of the fastest-growing practices for healing and personal growth we have right now. We are also experiencing a rapidly growing shift in our understanding of trauma and its impact on us individually and collectively. We now know that going beyond the rational thinking mind and working directly with the body and somatic experience is one of the most effective routes for helping to resolve trauma.
This is where breathwork can really help.
In this experiential training for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, you’ll learn how trauma impacts the body and the brain and how you can use breathwork to help clients find resolution and recover their sense of self.
Drawing on neuroscience and examples from practical experience, this workshop will show you how working with the breath can bring about states of deep relaxation, release tension from the body, resolve trauma symptoms and reprogram the thinking mind in a way that is useful, gentle, safe and empowering for the individual.
You’ll also discover the importance of breath for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and how it can be used to complement your existing practice.
