Experiential workshop in counselling skills and techniques
In this full day workshop we will be exploring the key facets of counselling interaction including:
- Attending behaviours (the three V’s and B, observational listening and active listening).
- Use and abuse of questions (closed, open, purposeful and intrusive).
- Reflection of content and reflection of feelings.
- Interpretation.
- Energetic dynamics and protection of "the energy field".
We will be taking an educative stance in this workshop but the main focus will be on practice and skills training.
This workshop is appropriate for counsellors and therapists of all levels of experience and can be used as an educative practice, a tool for self-reflection about current practice and ongoing professional development. It is also aimed towards practitioners in other fields such as hypnotherapists, healers and social workers who can gain insight from attending this workshop. Nevertheless, due to the significant emphasis on skills and practice, anyone who has an interest in developing abilities in human interactions will benefit from this experiential and educative day.
This workshop constitutes the second in a series of six, however each workshop represents a stand-alone training module and it is not in any way necessary to attend all of the workshops to benefit.
CPD certificates are available upon request for each workshop or the workshop series.
Workshop hours: 10.00am to 5.00pm.
Workshop cost: £60.00 per day.
This workshop will be facilitated by Paula Fenn BACP (Accred) who is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, regression therapist, hypnotherapist and healing practitioner in private practice.
