Existential concepts of soul
Course description
How relevant is the idea of “soul” in an increasingly digital and performance based environment? How does modern man understand the idea of something within but also without, knowable and yet unknowable?
Concepts of “soul” within an existential framework cover many different ways of looking at the intangible the ephemeral and the spiritual.
We will look at ideas from different authors such as Heidigger, Jaspers, Frankl, Merleau Ponty, Kierkegaard and Barth.
Come and explore your own attitude to “soul” and matters of “spirit” and learn how to help clients unfold their own meaning around concepts like the embodiment of soul in the modern age.
