The Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills group is available on Fridays 18:30 - 20:30. We teach the dialectic behavioural therapy skills:

  • Emotional regulation.
  • Mindfulness.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance skills.

We are DBT psychologists and DBT Psychotherapists.

What is DBT?

Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) is a type of talking treatment. It's based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), but has been adapted to help people who experience emotions very intensely. Please call us for an informal chat if you are considering DBT treatment.

What is the difference between DBT and CBT?

CBT focuses on helping you to change unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving (see Mind's booklet 'making sense of cognitive behaviour therapy' for more information). DBT also helps you to change unhelpful behaviours. Our DBT group program is now available in Hendon North London; it is a 16 week program.

We specialise in treating patients suffering from personality disorders, bipolar disorder and depression-anxiety. We facilitate a 16 week evidenced based Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Program in North London, meeting Fridays 18:30 20:30. DBT will provide you with tools to stabilise and manage your mood more effectively. Please call for additional information.

The DBT group is for patients that struggle to regulate their mood and emotions and may have self harming behaviours. The DBT group program helps develop and understand DBT skills. We meet weekly and rotate DBT skills. DBT skills training is made up of four modules: core mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, designed to specifically assist individuals in better managing behaviours, emotions and thoughts. The DBT group meets once weekly for two hours, and learns to use specific skills across the four DBT skill modules core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.

16 week DBT group program costing £1,600.
