This online zoom dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) module encompasses three goals:

1. Understand one’s emotions.
2. Reduce emotional vulnerability.
3. Decrease emotional suffering.

The important facet of emotion regulation is understanding that negative emotions are not bad, or something that must be avoided. They are a normal part of life, but there are ways to acknowledge and then let go of these feelings.

When we experience extreme emotional sensitivity we go through cycles that begin with a situation that triggers automatic negative thoughts, the thoughts then often prompt an extreme or distorted emotional response, which can lead to destructive behaviours.

The workshop will help you learn DBT Skills to regulate your emotions and avoid problem behaviours.
