An experiential workshop to learn how to identify and work with anguish and anxiety.

About this event

In this workshop, we address anguish and anxiety. The experience of anguish is often the trigger that encourages our clients to seek therapy. We explore in detail how anguish is a feeling that brings together and tears apart families and individuals.

Anguish has been described as a whirlpool that traps everything. It can imprison many from within and fills them with fear, anxiety, restlessness, and even overwhelming sadness.

With anxiety being a close relative to anguish, we look at the types of suffering that can be compensated. This experiential workshop will be an opportunity to further understand the experiences of anguish and anxiety and provide effective ways on how to work with these presentations.

Giovanni and Sam will facilitate and share their knowledge and experience by creating an experiential learning environment for practitioners to discuss limitations. There will be opportunities to consider some of the challenging dynamics when we think of silence, and practitioners will be encouraged to contribute and share their meaning around it.

Join Giovanni and Sam to explore the many angles of interventions in the therapeutic space.

Giovanni is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and an Integrative-Relational Psychotherapist, Lecturer in Psychotherapy at Regent's University, and has extensive experience working with "difficult presentation" in institutions and in private practice.

Sam is a Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, the founder and lead therapist of Samantha Carbon and Baker Street Therapy,- a Central London based practice with a multi-cultural and diverse range of experienced therapists practising from there.
