The aim of this webinar is to gain a deeper understanding of bereavement and loss, and to reflect on your own thoughts and feelings about grief and how this may affect your helping.

You will gain an understanding of bereavement theories and how to apply these theories in practice. Factors affecting bereaved people and their possible reactions are also considered and we'll end by discussing assessment options and how we actually work with a bereaved client.

Nicola Hughes, has worked extensively with bereaved individuals, children and their families since 2010. She delivers training to professionals within the community, schools and universities. She is also in private practice as a creative counsellor and outdoor therapist, clinical supervisor and trainer. Nicola's training sessions are accessible, informative and engaging. You will leave with a clearer understanding of grief and its many forms, as well as some of the theories behind the practice. This is a great introduction to grief counselling.
