About me

I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist offering therapy to adults in London Bridge and Greenwich, as well as online. I offer psychotherapy in both English and Greek. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, or a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers an opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and relationships, alongside the experiences that have shaped you. We can think together about patterns that may be difficult to recognise, including aspects of your experience that may be outside of your awareness, and how these may influence the way you relate to yourself and others.

I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is troubling you at your own pace. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic thinking and is also informed by systemic and Compassion Focused Therapy perspectives, allowing us to consider your relationships, wider context and relationship with yourself.

Therapy can be open-ended or time-limited, depending on your needs. Sessions are usually weekly, with the frequency discussed together at the beginning of our work.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am also a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists.

My training includes:

  • MA in Foundations of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust
  • Professional Qualification in Intercultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust
  • PGCert in Systemic Approaches to Working with Individuals, Families and Organisations
  • Compassion Mind Training – Train the Trainer / Facilitator level

I have over 10 years’ experience working with adults within the NHS, across primary and secondary mental health services. I currently work as a Highly Specialist Psychotherapist within Psychology and Psychotherapy Services for Older Adults at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

My clinical experience includes working with people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss and complex life experiences. I have also worked within specialist trauma services and have experience of working with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Throughout my professional training, I have undertaken long-term personal psychotherapy and psychoanalytic work, which has been an important part of my development as a psychotherapist.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
