About me
Hello and thank you for reading my profile on counselling directory.
Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I worked in care support roles for over 13 years. In my role as a support worker, my main focus was helping people reach their full potential. My role as a support worker naturally developed into wanting to help people on a deeper emotional level.
My style of therapy offers the space for healing, reflection and helps you reconnect or for the first time, find your authentic self. I will support you to develop the skills that create lasting positive change, at a pace that feels right for you.
I recognise that no two people are the same, which is why I offer a flexible and personalised approach to counselling.
Sessions can take place in a traditional face to face setting within my tranquil counselling space, thoughtfully designed to promote calm and comfort with peaceful views overlooking a private lake.
For those who find traditional face to face counselling less comfortable, I offer the following alternative ways of working:
- You may choose to sit by the beautiful round window on a comfortable window seat, taking in the calming lake views, providing a more natural and relaxed way of support. I recognise that sometimes looking someone in the eyes, can feel overwhelming and this is a great alternative for people who prefer side by side interaction.
- I also offer walking talking therapy. This can be for people who find movement and being outdoors beneficial. These are 50 minute sessions, walking around a private lake, combining counselling with the grounding benefits of gentle movement. These can also take place in an environment outdoors of your choosing.
- I also offer remote counselling, this offers people the flexibility to access support from their chosen safe space. Other benefits of remote counselling are that it offers practicality by making it easier to juggle work, home life and travel.
How I can support you:
My aim as a counsellor is to provide a therapeutic experience that feels safe, supportive and tailored to your individual needs.
If you are living with anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, ADHD, Autism, trauma or difficult life experiences, I offer a non-judgmental, compassionate space to explore the issues you are struggling with.
I also support clients who are experience anxiety, depression and PTSD, setting healthy and realistic boundaries.
I work well with the following traumatic life experiences:
- Domestic abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Childhood abuse
- NICU trauma
- Birth trauma
- Emotional abuse
- Financial abuse
Trauma can impact many areas of life, including relationships, work, self-worth, emotional well-being, and safety within yourself and the world around you.
Together we can work through your experiences, explore your triggers and develop healthier ways of coping day to day.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

NICU Trauma Counselling:
I work with individuals and families who have experienced trauma following a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) stay. The NICU journey can be emotionally overwhelming, often bringing feelings of fear, grief guilt, uncertainty and loss.
I offer a compassionate and supportive space, face to face or online, to help clients process their experiences, make sense of difficult emotions and move forward towards healing. Together we can explore the impact of your NICU experience and work towards reclaiming a sense of understanding, resilience and hope.
10 weeks free Trauma based NICU counselling, offered to NICU families. Availability is limited and waiting lists may apply.

Free NICU counselling with obis mini miracles:
As a parent of a NICU super-premature baby myself, I understand how deeply challenging and life-changing the neonatal journey can be. This led me to create the charity Obis mini miracles, which supports families of NICU babies. I help them navigate through the grief and trauma it brings to parents. This trauma doesn't stop when you step out of those hospital doors. Parents have reported that the trauma of their NICU experience often triggers a whole new range of emotions and anxiety.
Through the charity, I offer up to 10 weeks of free NICU Trauma counselling. In these sessions, we will focus on your lived experience and I will support you to reframe your grief.
