About me
Like many people, my own life has included periods of challenge and uncertainty. Those experiences deepened my appreciation of how powerful it can be to feel genuinely heard and understood. They also shaped my desire to do meaningful work centred on human connection. While your journey will be entirely your own, I bring a deep respect for the courage it takes to face life's difficulties and a belief that growth can emerge through honest exploration and compassionate understanding.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that each individual has the capacity for growth and change. My role is not to provide answers or tell you what to do, but to create the conditions where you feel safe enough to explore your experiences openly and honestly. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship, one built on empathy, acceptance, authenticity, and trust. Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I aim to create an environment where you can bring whatever is on your mind without feeling judged or pressured.
During my counselling training, I worked with a charity supporting carers, which gave me the opportunity to sit with people who were often carrying a great deal of responsibility and emotional pressure. I saw the importance of having a space where people could talk openly, feel listened to, and be recognised as individuals beyond the roles they hold. This experience strengthened my appreciation for the value of genuine human connection and the difference that being truly heard can make.
Alongside my person-centred approach, I have a particular interest in existential ideas. Many of us, at different points in life, find ourselves asking deeper questions: Who am I? What gives my life meaning? Why do I feel disconnected? How do I live authentically? These questions can arise through loss, change, uncertainty, or simply through living. Existential therapy doesn't seek to provide definitive answers; instead, it offers the opportunity to explore these questions with curiosity and openness, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your place in the world.
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process. I strive to create a welcoming, compassionate environment where you feel listened to, respected, and genuinely understood. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone. If you're looking for a thoughtful, reflective, and supportive space to explore whatever is important to you, I would be honoured to be part of your journey.
I am currently taking bookings beginning the first week of September.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
