About me
Specialising in Childhood and Sexual Trauma
Do you carry memories that feel too heavy or confusing to face alone? Do you struggle with flashbacks, nightmares and feelings of anxiety and overwhelm? Do you find yourself on edge, feeling numb, or questioning why you still feel stuck after everything you’ve tried?
I’m a fully BACP accredited psychodynamic therapist in Edinburgh with a special interest in helping people heal from childhood and sexual trauma, and from feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or struggling with self-worth and trust in relationships.
Many of my clients are survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and childhood trauma, and I understand how isolating and overwhelming these experiences can feel. I offer a calm, compassionate and collaborative space where you can begin to make sense of what’s happened at your own pace and in your own way.
My approach is gentle, steady, non-judgemental, and deeply human. Together, we explore what lies beneath the surface - your stories, fears, and emotional patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. We will work together to understand these deeper roots, helping you find relief, clarity, self-compassion, and lasting change.
I have specialist training in trauma, sexual abuse, and childhood abuse, and many years of experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, students, and survivors of sexual violence.
Alongside trauma work, I also support people with:
- Anxiety, depression, or chronic self-criticism
- Low self-esteem or identity struggles
- Relationship and attachment difficulties
- Feeling “different", lost, or disconnected
- Body image and sexuality issues
What Can You Expect in Therapy with Me?
Trauma therapy with me is gentle, safe, and led by you. We take time to understand your history, your emotions, and the parts of you that learned to survive. We will move at a pace that feels right, with space to slow down or pause whenever needed - you are always in control of how far and how fast we go.
Over time, you may notice shifts - a clearer sense of yourself, greater self-acceptance, and more freedom to live and relate differently.
The Next Step - Get in touch!
I know from my own experience of therapy that reaching out to a therapist can feel so hard. There may be pain and feelings that you don’t yet have words for - and that’s okay. I warmly invite you to get in touch for a free 15–30 minute introductory call. I’m here to listen, to understand, and to support you in taking this first step.
In addition to English, I also work in Mandarin Chinese (普通话) and Cantonese (粤语).

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
