About us
Have you been feeling stuck, wobbly and disembodied lately? I’m Ting, and I provide a safe sanctuary where you can be, just as you are. My practice honours the body-mind connection, helping you process emotions in your body. Whether you are holding trauma, identity or relationship issues, you can see me in person in Leeds City Centre and online.
I weave trauma-informed counselling with somatic techniques and 19 years of embodied experience in movement and touch as medicine for healing. In my therapy room, we invite your body into the work, allowing you to build a deeper awareness and connection between your body and your mind. This helps us build a grounded sense of embodied wholeness.
I work with my clients for the full 60 minutes, rather than the traditional 50 minutes. I value the spaciousness of having more time, allowing us to go deeper, honour your body and integrate.
In my therapy room I value your comfort. You are welcome to take your shoes off and make yourself at home. We have little objects like rocks and massage balls that help support us in our journey, and we can be playful and creative with how we use the space together. In my therapy room you do not need to mask, your inner child is very welcome here. :)
If you are looking for a safe space to unwrap, feel and heal – this is your place. I know how much courage it takes to reach out. I offer a free 15min video call for us to meet each other and speak more. This allows us to get a feel for each other and see if working together feels right. Drop me an email and we can pencil in a time.
Training, qualifications & experience
I integrate my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with my experience in movement and somatic work. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Dance. My practice is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach and I bring in safety, creativity, embodiment and curious play into the therapy room.
I have experience working at a rape and domestic abuse charity, where I received extensive training regarding trauma, sexual abuse and domestic abuse.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
