About me
My name is Dr YlIka Krasniqi Morina, I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the HCPC and BPS with 15 years of experience of working with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties relating to their emotional and relational wellbeing, both in the NHS and Private sector.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with stress, depression and anxiety or perhaps long standing issues such as problematic relationships, traumatic events or difficult childhood experiences, I can help you. If you feel stuck in negative life patterns or thinking or perhaps you want to make changes but unsure how to start, I can support you to make the changes you want to see in your life and within yourself.
My approach is integrative, I offer evidence based therapy and have experience in several specialist psychological models; including CBT, schema therapy, narrative, attachment and trauma-informed approaches. I integrate different approaches tailored to your specific needs helping you work towards developing a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I will work with you to identify and explore the difficulties you are experiencing and together we will consider what is no longer functioning well for you and find ways of reducing your distress and increase your ways of coping. I offer a warm, compassionate and safe space where importance is placed on developing a strong therapeutic relationship with you.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
