About me
I am a qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor for adults, children and young people working for local charities and in private practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work to their ethical framework and code of practice. I am fully insured, registered with the ICO and hold a current enhanced DBS.
I offer face to face counselling from my own therapy room attached to my house in Deal, Kent. It is a comfortable, quiet and private space overlooking the garden. There is a toilet, free parking outside and a bus stop across the road. It is wheelchair accessible with no stairs. I also have a therapy dog in training called Daisy. She is a Cavapoo who can offer additional support if needed. In addition to face-to-face counselling, I also offer online therapy using Zoom or Teams and telephone counselling depending on your needs.
We never know when we are going to be thrown life’s challenges and can sometimes feel stuck. Emotional pain can feel very overwhelming, and it takes courage to reach out for help for many different reasons. I know this through lived experience and learned first-hand how therapy can be life changing in such a positive way.
Whether you are looking for support and understanding with anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, trauma, PTSD, relationships, identity/sexuality or any other difficulties in your life, I will offer you a confidential, non-judgemental, safe and supportive space built on empathy, trust and unconditional positive regard. I work in an integrative way, meaning that I use different theoretical approaches to help you process life’s challenges, unresolved emotions, negative self-perceptions and develop healthier coping strategies, helping you to grow, heal and find your way again.
I believe that you are the expert of yourself, and I will offer a deep commitment to you on your therapeutic journey to help you explore your worries, thoughts and feelings, working at your pace. I will help you to gain a better understand of yourself in a more compassionate way and empower you to emerge stronger and more resilient.
I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to therapy and offer an initial free 20-minute telephone call so that we can identify what your needs are, give you the opportunity to see if you want to work with me and to ensure that I am the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
