About me
It's a big step to reach out and ask for help when life's challenges feel overwhelming. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space, where we can work together to relieve your current distress. If you choose me as your therapist, I would support and empower you to find a way through your current difficulties.
My approach is based on the TA (Transactional Analysis) Model of counselling and psychotherapy. I believe that the relationship between us is key for successful therapy. This relationship allows you to talk through your feelings at your own pace, allowing you the possibility of change and personal growth.
Please do get in contact for an initial no-obligation session, where we can discuss what you would like from therapy. This gives you the opportunity to decide if I am the right counsellor for you and ask any questions, and for me to ensure that I have the right experience to meet your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor with a Level 6 Diploma in Counselling and BSc (Hons) Psychology.
I am a professional member of the NCPS, UKATA and EATA and abide by their code of ethics. I am fully insured, and frequently undertake supervision of my work as well as ongoing training to maintain best practice.
I have worked as a counsellor in a number of settings, including:
- The Pickering Cancer Drop In Centre
- Burrswood Health and Wellbeing
- A GP Surgery in East Sussex
I have experience of helping adults with a wide range of issues, such as bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, illness, stress, abuse and loss.
I offer face-to-face counselling in central Uckfield and via the online platform Zoom, as well as telephone appointments. If you choose to have therapy online, then I will ensure that you are comfortable using this medium in our first session.
