About me

If you are struggling with your emotions and feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, worry, sadness, panic, anger, loneliness or guilt or maybe you are dealing with a challenging or stressful situation or life event, it can feel difficult to know what to do or who you can turn to for support.

I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and I can work with you to help you overcome any difficult feelings and emotions or challenging issues that you may be experiencing so that you can move forward and make changes in your life.

I am passionate about my role as a counsellor and mental health. Areas I work in are: anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, abuse, addiction, work/family issues, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, relationships and health matters etc.

I work with adults and young people (13+). My sessions are very relaxed, confidential, caring, empathic and non-judgemental.

I appreciate that counselling can sometimes be a daunting prospect. My priority will always be to put you at ease and create a safe space where you will be listened to, feel heard and fully supported.

I can offer you time limited or ongoing counselling sessions. You can decide.

We will work collaboratively at your own pace, in your own time: whatever suits you best.

Being an Integrative counsellor means that I can draw on lots of different counselling approaches and theories (including CBT, Transactional Analysis & Inner Child theories etc) to work on the areas that you need support. Aside from my training, I feel you will experience me as a professional counsellor who is down to earth and really cares about you and your well being.

I work from a cosy, discreet, comfortable and welcoming counselling practice in the Billericay / Stock / Ingatestone area. The lovely room is in a quiet spot in a pretty leafy lane. The room is very confidential, particularly as we would be meeting in a mutual space rather than you having to visit my home.

There is free parking right outside, communal toilet facilities and I am centrally located within easy reach of Billericay, Chelmsford, Galleywood, Wickford, Basildon, Noak Bridge, Langdon Hills, Shenfield, Margaretting, Hutton, Great Baddow, The Hanningfields, Ramsden Heath and Downham.

Alternatively, I am happy to hold my sessions with you online or via the telephone.

I can also offer outdoor walk & talk therapy in beautiful local countryside.

As well as being in private practice, I also provide counselling services at a charitable organisation that offers nature-based therapy.

Please feel free to contact me by telephone or message on 07765 275 601 if you would like to arrange a session. Alternatively, you can arrange a free 20 minute telephone consultation so we can discuss your requirements.

By reading this, you have already taken an incredibly brave and positive step to overcoming your challenges.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
