About me
There are many reasons to come to counselling. It could be for help working through specific difficulties and crises, or it could be because you sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you've noticed patterns in your life and want to gain some insight into what might be behind them.
I'm an integrative counsellor which means I draw on different modalities in my practice such as Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Jungian and Psychodynamic therapy; because everybody's life & experiences are unique my way of working with each client is too. You are the expert on you, the journey is yours and I'm here to help you navigate, explore, and sometimes challenge. I like to work creatively using metaphor and imagination because often words can elude us or are just not enough, my goal is to help you connect more fully with your authentic self, fostering a stronger sense of acceptance, compassion and resilience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my diploma in Integrative transpersonal counselling at Re-vision, and my background is in graphic design and health and social care.
I was drawn to therapy after seeing the positive effect it had on me and the way I move through life. I was deeply moved by the way genuine connection and having a space where I could really be seen facilitated healing. I looked around and saw how few people who looked like me there were in the therapeutic space and realised I could provide the same sort of connection and holding.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Having ADHD myself, I'm quite experienced with how it can manifest in the way we present ourselves and communicate. I try and create a space where there is no need to self-edit or adapt your expression in order for me to follow your train of thought, to do so would dampen the meaning, I'm quite happy to be a passenger as we explore together.
