Sex & Relationship Therapist (BACP, MSc) - Couples, LGBTQIA+

About me

Sex and Relationship therapy is talking therapy specialized in addressing concerns around intimacy, sexuality and relationships.

Sexual wellbeing is for many a key factor for good mental health and relationship satisfaction. Yet it can feel very complex to navigate and often isolating.

It’s very common to stumble upon challenges within the course of your relationship and sometimes a bit of professional help is what your relationship needs to thrive.

Whether you are seeking support as an individual or as a couple, I tailor my therapeutic approach to your unique needs, experiences and goals. I will support you in a non judgemental, shame free way, without taking sides.

Sex and Relationship therapy can help you with

  • Communication skills & better understanding of one another
  • Improving your connection and intimacy
  • Low desire and mismatched desire
  • Painful sex and difficulties with penetration (including vaginismus)
  • Concerns around orgasm
  • Problems with erections, delayed or premature ejaculation
  • Navigating non-monogamy and relationship agreements
  • Repair following affairs and infidelity
  • Fertility concerns
  • Exploring gender identity and accessing gender-affirming care
  • Exploring sexual and/or romantic identity and coming out
  • Deciding whether to stay together or separate
  • Conflict resolution and strengthening emotional understanding
  • Concerns around kink/BDMS/fetishes
  • Compulsive sexual behaviour

My approach is sex positive, inclusive and pleasure focused, meaning we believe everyone has the right to connect with their own sexual pleasure as part of the human experience.

I recognise the uniqueness and multi faced nature of sexuality and that there are many ways to experience gender, attraction and relationships. I'm inclusive and affirming meaning I work with individuals of any gender, sexual orientation and relationship structure (i.e. non monogamy and polyamory)

About me

I'm a queer, cis white woman of Italian origin, raised catholic but I'm not religious. Aside from being in love with my cat (or any cat really), I'm passionate about mental health, social justice and equality, yoga, nature and recently delving into philosophy. I find supporting my clients to achieve their full potential is extremely rewarding and it's such a gift to have the privilege to be part of someone's life journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
