About me

Are you tired of overthinking what could go wrong, what others think, and what you should be doing? Always on the go, prioritising others and work, while pushing down feelings or memories that hurt? Feeling too much or not enough? You’re not alone.

About You

You may look like you’re coping while your mind never really switches off. Some days feel flat or disconnected, others the feelings arrive fast and hard. There may be stress, people pleasing, second guessing, and a slow drift in energy and motivation over time. Often there are past experiences underneath it all, showing up as triggers, shame, flashbacks, or a constant sense of being on alert. These difficulties can sometimes appear separate yet are often interlinked, and may also look like anxiety, depression, OCD or phobias. None of this means something is wrong with you or that change is not possible. It is what can happen when you have spent years adapting to survive and putting yourself last. I specialise in supporting adults living with the effects of trauma (PTSD or CPTSD), stress and low self esteem, including those with ADHD who want therapy that works with their brain. If you are functioning but not really feeling present or yourself, there is another way.

How Therapy With Me Works

I offer a warm, informal, ADHD friendly space. Together we make sense of what is happening, reduce overwhelm, and focus on changes that fit your life. My approach is integrative, so therapy is tailored to you rather than forced into one model. I draw on training across different therapy approaches and 14 years of supporting people with their mental health, helping so many recover from trauma, move through burnout, and build self esteem. A journey of self discovery that might include working through painful memories safely, easing a nervous system that feels stuck on high alert, and rebuilding boundaries, confidence and self trust so you stop abandoning your own needs. I listen closely, reflect what I notice, and offer clear, practical ideas. We pay attention to the whole of you, including mind and body, relationships, work, rest, and the way you speak to yourself. For ADHD, we make sense of a late or missed diagnosis, reduce shame, and adapt routines and expectations so you are not overextending to meet demands that do not fit.

Getting Started

I work with adults online across the UK and face to face in Melton Mowbray. You can send a message via the button above or the contact page on my website to arrange a free 20 minute video call. It is a chance to meet, ask questions, and see if this feels like a good fit for you. If you do not see a reply within two working days, please check your junk folder. If we decide to work together, we will agree a focus and rhythm that suit you and review regularly so the work stays relevant to what you need now. There are also groups, workshops and a book club if you prefer to begin more gently.

Additional information

Sessions are available online across the UK or face to face in Melton Mowbray. Fees are £95 for 50 minutes or £135 for 90 minutes. I am also an approved provider with the health insurance companies listed above, if you would like to use your policy to fund your sessions.

Sessions are usually weekly, but we can decide together what frequency feels right for you (more or less often if needed). If we use EMDR, 90-minute sessions can be especially helpful for allowing enough time to set up the processing and debrief afterwards. I have been offering trauma-therapy online for many years so you can be reassured that online therapy can be just as effective. You will just need a good internet connection, and a quiet, private space where you can speak freely without interruptions.
